On Our Watchlist: Hotel Danieli, Venezia, A Four Seasons Hotel

One of Venice’s most legendary hotels is preparing to enter a new chapter.

Hotel Danieli, Venezia, A Four Seasons Hotel will bring Four Seasons service to an extraordinary property just steps from Piazza San Marco, overlooking the Venetian Lagoon.

The Danieli is no ordinary hotel. Its story unfolds across three interconnected palaces dating from the 15th, 19th and 20th centuries. At its heart is the magnificent Palazzo Dandolo, originally built in the late 1400s and transformed into a hotel in 1822. Over the centuries, the Danieli has welcomed an impressive list of guests, including Lord Byron, Charles Dickens, Honoré de Balzac and Marcel Proust.

Now being reborn under the Four Seasons flag, the Danieli promises to combine its remarkable Venetian heritage with the contemporary luxury and personalized service for which Four Seasons is known. Guests can also look forward to distinctly Venetian experiences, from exploring the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello to cruising the lagoon aboard a historic Bragozzo fishing boat.

A confirmed opening date has yet to be announced and reservations are not currently available, but this is one hotel we will definitely be watching.

For travellers considering Venice in 2027 and beyond, Hotel Danieli, Venezia, A Four Seasons Hotel is firmly on our watchlist.
